The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) foresees for tomorrow persistent rains and snow in areas of the extreme north of Spain.

The entry of the storm Odette will put areas of the extreme north of the peninsula on an orange alert this Saturday, especially in Catalonia, Cantabria and the Basque Country, as well as the Balearic Islands, due to rain, coastal phenomena and wind, while the snow level will drop in the Pyrenees to 700 meters.

Likewise, in the north, areas of Aragon, Asturias, Castilla y León, Navarra, La Rioja, will be on yellow alert due to the same meteorological phenomena, as in the Valencian Community, according to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on its website.

The precipitation will be locally strong or persistent in the eastern Cantabrian, northern Navarra and the Pyrenees, where – from the afternoon – they could become locally strong and be accompanied by storms.

In the northeast of the Balearic Islands a weak and isolated shower may be registered. In the rest of the northern half of the peninsula and in the north of the Canary Islands, there will be cloudy intervals, while in the rest of the country there will be some high clouds.

The snow level It will be located in the Pyrenees between 700 and 1,400 meters at the beginning of the day, and will rise until it is above 2,000 meters.

The daytime temperatures They will ascend in the northwest half of the peninsula, they will descend on the southeast coast, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, and they will remain unchanged in the rest.

The nights will go down in the Peninsulaexcept in the far north, where they will hardly change. The values ​​will be significantly lower than those foreseeable for these dates of the year.

There will be strong wind intervals in the northeast third of the peninsula, Balearic Islands and Canary Islands, with a predominance of northeast wind in the Canary Islands, and a west or northwest component in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands.
